Despite its huge budget, the film was a huge success and especially praised for its amazing special effects, which still stand the test of time today. Slot fans though had to wait a great deal of time before the Terminator 2 slot hit shelves as it was released many years later by Microgaming.

These all offer better value wins, especially if you can land five across the reels in any order.

What is a nice touch is that when you land a win using the higher value symbols, it plays through a little snippet of action and/or dialogue from the film and that, combined with the ever-present soundtrack and special effects, does help draw you into the game a great deal.

In addition to these symbols, there is also a T2 symbol which is the in game Wild and there is also a Scatter symbol, both of which unlock the key features of the game.

Wild features

The T2 Wild is a simple Wild that can appear on any of the reels in any position and substitutes for any of the higher or lower value symbols, but not the Scatter. Land several of these across the reels and you can trigger multiple sizeable wins and if you land five Wilds across all five reels then you will win the base game jackpot prize of 1,500 coins.

Although not a Wild feature as such, when playing the base game you can trigger the T-800 Vision bonus game at random on any non-winning spin. When triggered, you will see the reels as the T-800 does using his robotic vision and on the non-winning spin, you will receive a cash prize for every high value character symbol landed on the reels. Furthermore, during the T-800 Vision bonus, you can also trigger the Free Spins bonus more easily by landing just one Scatter symbol.

Free Spins features

While you can land the Free Spins bonus more easily in the T-800 Vision bonus game, you can also land it by hitting three of the Scatter symbols on the reels during the base game. You can win up to 3,000 coins by landing five Scatters across the reels, but three or above will be sufficient to trigger the Free Spins bonus game.

When Free Spins are triggered, you will notice the robotic nature of the slot as the reels expand to include another symbol on each reel and this also increases the number of winning lines from 243 up to 1024. Once the reels are expanded and the 1024-ways to win is confirmed, your 10 Free Spins will start.

However, as an additional bonus, in this round the T-1000 will use its mimetic qualities to act as a form of Wild.
