How to play at Luna Park slot

After loading the Luna Park gaming device, the gamblers see a screen that introduces them to a range of entertainment offered. To go directly to the game, one must click on the Skip Intro icon in the lower right of the interface. The structure of the playing field includes 5 reels. The player can use from 1 to 25 active paylines during the spin. Their number is adjusted in the Lines menu using the minus and plus buttons. There is also a Max key, which allows users to activate all 25 lines in one click.

The Luna Park video slot allows you to bet from 1 to 100 virtual coins on each of the active lines. You can control this value using the Coins / Line menu. It works according the same principle as the element adjusting the number of active lines. The total amount is displayed in the Total Bet column. There is no risk-game function in the slot. The Payouts section presents the following information:

  • The size of payouts for each symbol;
  • Description of bonus rounds;
  • Arrangement schemes for possible winning combinations;
  • A brief description of the rules of the game.

A more detailed version of the rules is opened after clicking the Help button.

Symbols and Winnings

The most expensive icon in the Luna Park video slot machine is the image of the strong man in leopard-print tights. When a combination of 5 such symbols appears on the active line, the player receives the largest prize payout – a line bet multiplied 5000 times. Less generously paid chains having this icon have coefficients of 10, 75 and 500.

Below are the line bet multipliers for combinations of the remaining symbols, not including bonus feature:

  • A bumper car from the “Autodrome” attraction, a gate, a cabin from the observation wheel, a tent – 5, 25, 100;
  • A child, a fortune teller – 2, 20, 75, 250;
  • A magician, a clown – 5, 40, 100, 500.

The icon in the form of a skeleton is used as a wild symbol. It can be drawn only on the second and fourth reels and spreads to the entire row vertically. In winning combinations, it replaces the 5 highest paid icons.

The bonuses of the slot machine

If there are 5 symbols on the active line in the form of a Luna Park ticket, the Super Wheel prize round will start. An observation wheel with cabins of different colors will appear on the screen. The player will receive a win at the moment when he or she collects three cabins of the same color. Another bonus game begins when the gambler collects on the reels 3, 4 or 5 icons in the form of hammers. In this round, you must choose one of 20 players. The amount of the prize payouts will depend on the strength of the chosen character’s blow.

How to win at Luna Park slot

As already mentioned, the Luna Park slot has neither a risk game, or a round of free spins. Nevertheless, the bonus features of this device will not leave even the most demanding gamblers disappointed. Due to the fact that there are two prize games at once, the chances of getting maximum payouts are very high. Since some bonuses depend on pay lines, it is recommended to use all 25 of them during the spin.

Why haven’t we heard of these important women from Australian history?

When 300 armed soldiers marched on Australia’s first Government House, intent on a revolutionary overthrow of the sitting governor William Bligh, they came across one obstacle.

Mary Bligh, daughter of Governor William Bligh.

There, standing at the gates, was the diminutive figure of his daughter Mary, dressed in mourning black as her husband had died just three weeks before, who was determined not to allow them pass.

What’s more, she had a weapon of her own which she used to beat back those troops with their fixed bayonets and loaded firelocks. Her parasol.

Of course, they overpowered her, and the Rum Rebellion of January 26, 1808, has gone down in history as our one and only military coup. But while William Bligh – he of previous notoriety from the Bounty mutiny – was caricatured as hiding under his bed when the insurgents arrived, what of his brave daughter?

The answer is all too familiar for any of Australia’s heroines of history: pretty much ignored and uncharted and certainly never celebrated.

Historical novels like That Bligh Girl are putting forgotten women back into history.

But now there’s a fresh move to rescue these women, tell their stories and elevate them to their rightful place in history. While my new book about Mary Bligh, That Bligh Girl, is out on May 2, it will now take a slot alongside a burgeoning number of other books championing our women firebrands.

Mary Ann Piper, Esther Abrahams, Mary Reibey, Mary Bryant, Mary Greenway, Elizabeth Macquarie, Elizabeth Macarthur, Eliza Fraser, Elizabeth Gould, Charlotte Badger, Catherine Hegarty, Barangaroo …

Out of them all, people know Macarthur the best, probably because her husband John was off the scene for so long, he couldn’t possibly claim all the credit. And while we’re all familiar with the name Barangaroo, how many know anything about the Indigenous icon who insisted on walking through Sydney’s Government House naked, apart from a bone through her nose?

“Australia’s colonial history has generally been written from a white male perspective, and it’s time now that we knew more about some of the remarkable colonial, and Indigenous, women,” says Jessica North, the author of Esther and Mary Ann & Captain Piper.

Slot Fisticuffs - Game Review

“The letters and papers in the family collections in the State Library often include hundreds of handwritten letters and it’s tempting for historians to overlook letters to and from women because they assume they will be only about domestic and social issues. As a result, most people have never heard of the many influential women of the colonial era.”

Meg Keneally is the author of the historical novels The Wreck and Fled.

Author Meg Keneally agrees wholeheartedly. She is the author of the novels Fled, based on the life of convict Mary Bryant, and The Wreck, inspired by Mary Reibey, and is now writing another historical fiction novel about Reibey and a non-fiction book about our first women pirates Charlotte Badger and Catherine Hegarty.

“Part of the reason these women have been ignored is very obviously the patriarchy, but with Mary Bryant, for instance, she was illiterate so left no journal or letters to substantiate her or give any nuance as to why she did what she did. But even when women did leave written documents, they weren’t assigned the same importance as those written by males,” Keneally says.

“Yet women like Reibey, Bryant and Bligh achieved an awful lot. They had limited power and influence and were sometimes regarded as the lowest of the low, but they used every ounce of their determination to repudiate the future that had been assigned to them and forge a new way for themselves.”

Even established fiction writers are now moving into the genre of profiling real women from history. Tea Cooper (The Butterfly Collector, The Fossil Hunter) is now at work on a book about convict architect Francis Greenway’s wife Mary, The Talented Mrs Greenway, to come out later this year. There’s very little actually known about her, beyond her husband saying how gifted she was.

“He attributed some of his buildings to her and she must have done some,” Cooper says.

“But also, she had seven children and set up a school in the Redfern barracks where she was living. She was certainly someone who didn’t just stay home and look after the children.

“And when she died, everything for her husband went to pot completely. So I’m really pleased so many books are now coming out about Australian women. They say history is written by the victors, but now it’s about evening the score.”

Author and journalist Grantlee Kieza also has a new book coming out this month, The Remarkable Mrs Reibey, while historian Grace Karskens has previously written about Barangaroo as an extraordinarily skilled fisherwoman and “one of early Sydney’s powerful figures”.

Back then, women were a lot less than half the world in the new convict colony, but they certainly had far more than their fair share of courage, determination and ambition.

That Bligh Girl by Sue Williams is released on May 2 by Allen & Unwin RRP $32.95. Sue’s previous historical fiction was the bestselling Elizabeth & Elizabeth.
