About Irish Luck Slot
Coming from the brilliant developers at Playtech, the Irish Luck slot is a rather straightforward game. It combines a familiar theme with great visuals and fun gameplay.
The playing area consists of a standard layout of 3 rows and 5 reels while winning combinations can be formed across the 30 fixed paylines. Said combinations must start from the leftmost reel and consist of at least 3 matching symbols across successive reels.
A rather small betting range is provided in this game that may be less appealing to players who prefer higher stakes. The smallest option starts at £0.10, and the highest is capped at £30 per spin.
Design, Symbols and Graphics
When I launched the Irish Luck slot, I noticed that the design, albeit fairly basic, is clean and crisp, whilst the reel symbols are all well-drawn and follow the Emerald Island theme. Green dominates the screen, and a rainbow is on top of the grid. The graphics are also great and can make the gameplay more enjoyable and immersive.
The playing card symbols: 9, 10, J, Q, K and A are the low-value symbols in the Irish Luck slot, appearing in glistening emerald green. On the other hand, the high-value symbols are a Claddagh ring, a golden horseshoe, a harp, a Celtic brooch and a shamrock.
There’s also a wild symbol, represented by a red-headed girl and a pot of gold as the scatter. Each of these payout for combinations and give a little extra, but I’ll explain more later.
RTP, Variance and Payouts for Irish Luck Slot
The Irish Luck RTP is 95%, slightly below the industry average. As for the maximum win you can take from this game, it can potentially reach up to 10,000x the stake, which is impressive.
This is combined with a medium volatility model, which means that rewards can be fairly frequent with moderate values.

Gameplay and Features of Irish Luck Slot
As I’ve mentioned earlier, the Irish Luck slotwild symbol also pays out for combinations of two or more symbols. Plus, the payout is doubled when it participates in winning combinations. On the other hand, the gold pot scatter can trigger the Free Spins feature.
Free Spins Feature
This feature can be triggered by landing three or more Gold Pot scatters anywhere on the reels. You’ll be awarded 8 free spins with a 2x multiplier. You’ll then be presented with five pots of gold and have to select two, potentially revealing more free spins and multipliers.
Although the Gold Pots bonus feature is Irish Luck’s only one, it has the potential to be very lucrative as there are up to 33 free spins to be won and even a multiplier of x15.
Other Playtech Slots
Playtech is one of the pioneers in the online slot market. It has produced many online slots that are on top of the trending charts. These include the Pyramid Valley: Power Zones slot, the Jane Jones: Book of Kings 2 slot, as well as the Dragon Chi slot, among others.
SlotsWise Verdict
Irish Luck slot revolves around a popular theme in the world of slots and, to good effect, might I add. The graphics are simple, like I said, but they’re well-designed and all theme-related. Even the symbols that aren’t directly related to the theme all come in emerald green, glistening to catch players’ eyes.
A few more bonus features could have been included, although the Free Spins bonus round isn’t bad. Players can win free spins and multipliers, plus this feature can be retriggered an infinite amount of times, so there is a potential for players to achieve some great outcomes.

Gaelic Gold
From raging barbarians to the happy go lucky leprechauns of Irish fables, Nolimit City return with a lighter-hearted trip to the reels. At first glance, Gaelic Gold might appear simplistic, but its creators have peppered the game with several features that might be more intricate than you think. For one, their xNudge Wild returns, as well as some excellent picking action during the bonus round which means no two bonuses will be the same. Like chasing a rainbow, there is no end to the number of Irish/leprechaun themed slots out there, so they need a certain something to make them relevant. Is Gaelic Gold the four-leafed variety of clover, or one of the common three-leafed varieties that you’d trample underfoot?
The first impression is one of Nolimit’s most traditional looking slots in a while. It uses a classic 3×3 set up with 5 win lines during the base game which can be expanded to 9 during the bonus round. On the visual side of things, Gaelic Gold is another well crafted slot from this successful little studio that is smooth to play and easy on the eyes. With a Gaelic/Leprechaun theme, the backdrop is filled with rainbows, green hills, lakes and blue skies. Players can catch the rays before the weather breaks by choosing bets from 5 p/c to £/€100 per spin and enjoy above-average RTP of 96.15% slotting action powered by a medium variance mathematical model which gives it a softer, less brutal edge compared to some of the other recent releases.
The theme oozes through the paytable with all of the classic symbols from the theme. You could just as easily use the word clichéd, depending on your mood, but sometimes these Irish slots are just so darn cheerful it’s hard not to surrender to their charm. So, to the symbols, and there are 9 in the game — 4 low, and 5 premium. The lows are earthy looking J-A royals, while the premiums are a top hat, shoe, beer mug, horseshoe, and a four-leaf clover. Okay, so they are more than a little clichéd but not to worry. The reel configuration limits winning combinations to just three of a kind and royals return 1 time the stake while premiums are worth 2 — 15 times the stake for a combo. Players are never in doubt since a list of symbols and their values sit beside the reels while the game is in play.
Gaelic Gold Slot: Features
Two more special symbols round off the paytable. The first is the leprechaun which is a 3 row high wild that pays out 15 times the stake. He also substitutes for any symbol in the game except the bonus symbol. Nolimit’s xNudge Wild feature makes a comeback with the wild which is always nudged into full view. Moreover, each nudge increases the wild multiplier by +1 in the process and if there is more than one wild in view their multipliers are added together.
To chase that pot of gold you are going to need the help of the Rainbow Spins feature. This is triggered when the pot of gold symbol lands in the centre position — this will award 5 spins. That might not sound like a lot, but the leprechaun’s good fortune doesn’t end there. Before Rainbow Spins begin, players select coins to pad out the round. There are 9 coins to pick from, and each one reveals a modifier:
- Two of the coins reveal up to +2 rainbow lines.
- Three of the coins reveal up to +25 free spins each.
- Three of the coins reveal up to x5 multipliers per coin.
Players keep on picking coins until they reveal the ‘Start’ coin and the round begins. If you are wondering what Rainbow Lines do, well, nothing overly special. They simply add more win lines to the game which can bring it up to a total of 9, but they are curved and light up like colourful rainbows when wins land on them. One more thing, any xNudge wild multipliers are multiplied by any win multiplier present during Rainbow Spins.
Last but not least, and where applicable, players can choose to skip the base game and launch the Rainbow Spins round if they so choose. This can be done via the Nolimit Shortcut which will cost you 50 times your total stake to trigger the round and will give you a slight 0.05% increase in RTP.
Gaelic Gold Slot: Verdict
Gaelic Gold is a simple-looking game with a theme that gets propped up for brand new floggings regularly. It doesn’t have the instant wow factor that comes with Nolimit’s top releases, but it’s not a bad game by any stretch. Recreational players will probably enjoy it, while hardcore gamers and those not so thrilled by yet another sparkling Irish emerald will need more convincing. But, it has a few nice things to offer.
For starters, Rainbow Spins can be fun, particularly the picking before they begin. Five free spins isn’t a whole lot, but the extras can seriously extend that and make them more profitable. It reminds one of the similar situation found in Secret of the Stones — another Celtic inspired slot, though totally different to Gaelic Gold in every other respect. And that is part of Gaelic Golds charm, it’s a little bit different and stands out to an extent in the Irish/leprechaun slot category. The xNudge activating every time is a bonus, so there is no ‘will he, won’t he’ tension before it simply moves to position bringing those multipliers into the picture.
When it comes to winning potential, on paper it works out quite well too with a maximum win potential of up to 9,837 times your stake. Of course, that’s the best-case scenario, but for a simple game, it’s technically capable of revving up the wins when the features are on. All in all, Gaelic Gold is another solid release from Nolimit City. Not their best, but that’s fine, providers need to mix things up a bit when it comes to volatility, and they can’t all be stunners.
