Dragon Horn slot by Thunderkick is another colourful game from this Swedish developer and like many slots has a medieval theme in cartoon format, quite like IGT’s Medieval Money and Play’n Go’s Royal Masquerade although I would liken it more to Netent’s Excalibur if it had more adult-like symbols. Here we get a delightful medieval village as the background with matching lute and lyre music to make the mood as we spin the reels full of items and characters from the period. Can we earn some gold here in these rich pastures or will our bankroll be reduced to a few groats?

On The Reels.

Unusually for Thunderkick we have a 243-way slot here of 5 reels and 3 rows each meaning no fixed paying lines but wins for 3 or more symbols on adjacent reels left to right. Symbols are both stacked or single and the single Wild only appears on the last 4 reels so the 5-of-a-kind pays begin with the Dragon at 20x bet, Queen 10x, Knight 5X, Archer 3.5x, Wise Man 3x and the Troll at 2.5x. No card values for a change as the lower five symbols are Shields with various symbols on them ranging from 2x down to 1x for a full line. Horn scatters are on all reels too and have no pay.

Our View.

Dragon Horn slot isn’t bad despite the rather corny and juvenile first impressions as it packs a serious punch for a non-too serious theme. You get a 96.10% RTP and those Mystery icons come in useful in the base game for some often decent wins in the tens times-bet. Aside from the graphics, the animations and sounds are the usual high Thunderkick standard and don’t forget that enormous potential you have in the free games, which do get exciting once you’ve converted 3 or more Shields to Mystery Dragon Fire icons.
