Slot Deep Oceans — Game Review
7 Oceans Slot Review
Deep down under the ocean there are some fantastic sights to be seen. If the big wins come along in ‘7 Oceans’ from Microgaming then you’ll really be delighted.
Microgaming are becoming real masters at producing these games that bring back so many pleasant memories of the three-reel games that were so commonplace in the past. Where they excel is by taking the retro slots and adding in a few little modern-day touches that make the game so appealing to the modern-day audience but they seem to have opted not to do that with this game.
Underwater Adventure
‘7 Oceans’ has just the three-reels and only one pay-line. As you can imagine considering the title of this slot, all the action takes place under the sea. With there being an aquatic theme that means the almost compulsory treasure chest has to make an appearance and hopefully it will contain some big wins for you.
The game has a good look to it and the soundtrack didn’t drive me round the bend (or perhaps for a game like this, give me the bends). With there being just the three reels and one pay-line, that means there is plenty of space to play with. The all-important reels are shown in the top left-hand corner.
7 Is the Lucky Number
The symbols in this game are basic. We get the single Bar, double Bar and triple Bar, a Blue 7 and a ‘7 Oceans’ logo. In the bottom, left-hand corner, we see the game logo with an underwater scene involving some fish and that treasure chest. All the details of how much you can win in this game are shown on the right-hand side of the screen, so no need for a second screen paytable as in most modern games.
The paytable is split into three sections and how much you win will depend on how many coins you play on each spin of the reels; this is between one and three. If you decide to play just one coin, then three triple bars will win you 45x your coin stake. Decide to play two coins and that win is doubled to 90x. The big wins available by getting some 7’s are only available if playing three coins on a spin of the reels. Three blue 7’s win you 1000x your coin level and the top prize available is 4000x for three red 7’s.
Playing the game can cost you between €0.75 if playing three coins and the maximum bet is €15. Simply work out how much you want to spend on each spin of the reels.
Simple but Fun
There’s no wild symbol in this game, no scatter either for that matter which is a bit of a shame but makes this a real homage to the games of the past. If you are looking for a bonus game, then you’ve come to the wrong place. This is one of the simpler Microgaming releases and ideal if you’re new to slot games. It’ll be a rather gentle introduction before trying your luck on the more complex games that Microgaming produce.
Conclusion
A good-looking slot from Microgaming that will delight those who used to play these kinds of games in the past the lack of any bonus game or modern feature is bound to disappoint some but this is just a different kind of game. It’s back to funding and then spinning the reels and hoping lady luck has some underwater breathing apparatus and can bring you some good wins.
Deep Sea Magic Slot Review
Is the Deep Sea Magic slot the most beautiful game you’ve ever seen? Probably not. But will you love the two free spin bonuses within these 5 reels? Almost definitely yes.
Still, you can’t deny that this is a pretty Atlantic underwater casino slot that ticks all the boxes. The mermaid is the wild symbol and can come stacked 3 high to cover a whole reel.
Surrounding it are the sort of symbols you might expect to find; pearls, sea horses, coins, classical harps and Urns, all making you dream of long ago cities that have long submerged under the sea.
The magic in the Deep Sea Magic slot
You have two types of scatters. The pyramid shows up on reels 2 to 4 only, and getting 3 is all it takes to trigger 6 free spins. However, these come stacked, meaning that if you catch more than 3 you get a bigger multiplier – a +1 multiplier for each scatter on screen.
You can expect to play with a minimum of 3x multiplier on 6 free spins, but we’ve caught 6x and 7x multiplier to know that more is well within the range.
Unfortunately, much like originals like the Kitty Glitter video slot or the Zeus slot review, a multiplier doesn’t always translate to big wins. This is the feature with the biggest wins, but it is by far the most unreliable.
The Drop and Lock slot feature is what it’s all about
We know that the multipliers are where you’ll get the bigger wins, but the Drop and Lock feature in this Deep Sea Magic slot is by far the most exciting bonus.
But no, something special happens here. The crystal symbols always drop to the bottom of the reel and lock into place. If you manage to get a whole line of symbols, you collect the instant cash win, and you get more space for more symbols. If you collect multiple lines in a row, you can get a x2 or x3 multiplier on the total prizes collected.
It’s a joy to watch and you can easily get 50x to 500x your bet on a good round. No, it won’t keep you playing, but it might be enough to make you dive for more.

In-game bonus features
Wild: The mermaid is the wild symbol and can appear single, double or triple in height. She only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4. She substitutes for all symbols except the Crystal Ball and the Pyramid symbols.
Scatters and Free Spins: The pyramid is the scatter symbol and only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4. Landing one or more pyramid symbols on all three reels will award you 6 free spins and you automatically win 5x your bet.
For every triggering scatter you catch, you also increase the multiplier of the free rounds by 1. So if you get all 3 reels covered in scatters, you’ll get a 9x multipliers.
You can re-trigger the bonus games.
Drop and Lock Bonus: The crystal balls are also scatter symbols. Land three or more anywhere on the reels and you’ll trigger a special bonus. You’ll have 3 respins to catch as many blue or orange crystal balls. The blue ones have value of 2x your bet or less, the orange ones have value of over 2x your bet.
If you manage to land more crystal balls, you reset the spins to 3. If you manage to land a row of crystal balls, you clear that row and collect the cash prizes. You keep collecting cash prizes for as long as you keep clearing rows and getting more symbols.
Landing multiple complete rows in the same spin will multiply the total cash amount by the number of rows; so 2x or 3x.
Take 3 spins in a row where you get not more crystal balls and the feature ends.
Deep Sea Magic Review Conclusion
Don’t let the old fashioned look fool you, this Deep Sea Magic slot game still has plenty of magic left on these reels, especially if you catch some crystal balls along the way.
The base game may be a little slow and the graphics may look a little dated, but the two free spin features are hard-hitting enough to convert anyone to deep-sea diving.
Deep Sea Magic is a 5×3 reel slot with 50 paylines, wilds, and two types of scatters that trigger two types of free spins bonuses, one with multipliers and the other with instant cash rewards.
