Basically, the Book of Secrets is a 5-reel online slot machine with three rows and 10 fixed betting lines. Just like with classical slot machine games the goal is to create a winning combination on the reels composed of identical symbols. In case of multiple winning combinations in the same line, the combination granting the largest winnings is the one that counts. In case of more winning combinations on multiple lines, the value of the winnings is summed up.

After every win, you can double it by using the special Gamble function. In it, you must decide the color of the card. If you guess the color correctly, you’ll be granted double of your winnings. Now, just because it’s not original doesn’t mean we’ve taken away the star rating. But if you are going to do a copy, make sure it’s a better one, or at least as good as the original.

We had to give this Book of Secrets online slot review 2 stars because at heart it still had all those great features.

You do get a wild symbol that also acts as a scatter. You do get a free spin bonus where one symbol will be chosen to pay as an expanding scatter pay. It does give you the chance to win on all 10 paylines at once and the top win of 5,000x your bet.

We just don’t want this to be the first ‘Book of’ slot that you try, and then get frustrated and hate them all. There are simply better versions of this video slot online.

It has all the hallmarks of a great ‘Book of’ slot game thanks to 5 reels and 10 paylines, that wild scatter, and the expanding scatter pay symbol in the free spin bonus round. We can’t fault it there.

It’s such a shame that the RTP is set at such a low 94.11%, however, as there are so many other slots of this type that do the exact same thing, but that pay out more to players.
