Slot Badminton Hero — Game Review
Badminton Hero Slot Review
Badminton Hero is the autumn 2018 release by Microgaming that promises 243 ways to land a big win on 5 reels and 3 rows standing against a Manga comic-style indoor arena background. Setting you in the role of a young prospect with many international matches ahead, the game also brings Rolling Reels, Wilds, Scatters, Free Spins, and the attractive Wild Smash feature. There is also the jackpot of 120.000 coins waiting to be collected, so if interested to find the way to this prize, read the Badminton Hero slot review.
Following the latest industry trends that require innovative features and more ways to score the jackpot, the game reverses back to the roots and offers a standard setting that requires 3 or more icons to be matched in order to receive a payout. Also, you can play for fun and learn how to win without investing a dime since the Badminton Hero free play demo comes with tons of extra credits and allows you to work a lot on the betting strategy.
Yellow and orange players are symbols with the highest rating on the paytable and pay 600 and 300 coins for a combination of 5 of a kind. Judge and other team members bring a maximum of 250 coins, while low-paying items such as sneakers or racket pay up to 100 coins for the same number of symbols harvested from an active payline.
Wilds can be used to replace all other icons but the Scatters and there are 40+ Wilds to be collected in the base game. They can appear stacked on the reels 3, 4 and 5 to grant additional prospective winning opportunities, while the Wilds Smash feature is even more rewarding. When reels 2, 3 or 4 randomly turn into Wild Reels, this feature grants up to 2 reels entirely covered with Wilds and the winners will enjoy a guaranteed win.
Another Badminton Hero Bonus game waits to be activated during the main game and its occurrence also depends on the pure luck. Trigger the Rolling Reels and receive consecutive multiple wins.

Badminton Hero slot review
Review by Gamingslots
Badminton Hero slot is very good and very bad in equal measure, a paradox which I’ll explain in due course. The theme is featured around the sport of Badminton and is the first time I’ve seen it used and we get an inside court as our background with cartoon representations of various players and their equipment as the symbols. The soundtrack is slow beat music with the usual Microgaming start sound and gentle thuds as the reels stop, although these become more dramatic if a win sequence should occur. I should compare this Badminton Hero slot mechanic to some others at this juncture but to do so now will give the game away (well, I thought that was funny) so let’s first see how our bankroll will fare when smashed across this court a few times.
On the reels.
A grid of 5 reels and 3 rows is a necessity for a 243-way slot which is exactly what we get here. The 5-of-a-kind pays won’t begin with Wilds as these only appear super-stacked on reels 3, 4 and 5 in the form of the game logo. Instead we get the Red Player awarding us 12x our 50-coin bet for a full way of 5, Yellow Player 6x, Green Player 5x, Blue Player 3x and Purple 2.5x. The equipment pays are Shuttlecock 120 coin, Trainers 100, Chart 80, Net 70 for a full way. You do get Gold Trophy scatters on all reels and these will pay 250x bet for all 5 but only 3 are needed to trigger the bonus. Before then we need to check out the game’s in-play dynamic and random feature.
Rolling reels and Wild smash
Badminton Hero features ‘Rolling Reels’ which means that all winning icons are removed to be replaced by additional symbols dropping down from above. This includes the Wilds on the last 3 reels but it is actually possible on occasion to see Wilds on reel 2. This is because randomly at the start of any spin you could be awarded any one or two of reels 2, 3 and 4 as Wild reels.
Three or more Gold Trophy scatters will award 15 free games, with 20 for 4 and 25 for all 5. During these you will get an increasing multiplier on the actions during any one spin. These are 2, 3, 5 and 10x which is the maximum and will stay in place for all consecutive actions of 5 or more. You can’t retrigger them but can get the Wild Smash random feature. If you get the 3 Wild reels in the right place for successive cascades some huge pays are possible!
Okay, if the cat isn’t out of the bag already it’s time to tell you that this excellent game mechanic has been used or ‘cloned’ several times before. The previous editions are the Football Star, Basketball Star, Rugby Star and Cricket Star slots! So a decent format with an equally decent 96% RTP but do we really need yet another one? What next — Table Tennis Star, or Tiddly Winks Star? If you like Badminton then you may want a spin here, but for me it’s game, set and match I’m afraid.
‘He’s my hero!’ Relief for Badminton runner-up Oliver Townend with his five-star veteran

Ballaghmor Class continued his phenomenal record of being placed top five in all eight of his five-star appearances (not including championships) to finish runner-up at Badminton Horse Trials, at the event presented by Mars Equestrian.
Ridden by Oliver Townend, the great grey knocked one fence down to move up a place from his third slot overnight when Austin O’Connor’s ride Colorada Blue lowered the two parts of the final double. Ballaghmor Class had clocked the third fastest time across country the previous day to move up from sixth after dressage.
The Badminton winners, Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo, were in a class of their own this weekend. They secured victory over Oliver by 15 penalties. But Oliver was delighted with his horse’s performance and consistency.
“He’s my hero,” said Oliver. “Whenever I’m having a rough time, he comes to the front, that’s what good mates do. I can’t tell you how proud I am of him.”
The 16-year-old, owned by Karyn Shuter, Angela Hislop and Val Ryan, was finishing runner-up for the second time here (2019). He also has an Olympic team gold medal in his cabinet.
“He’s unreal, isn’t he?” Oliver said. “I’ve had too many seconds with him, bless him, we’ll put that down to the jockey! He is literally part of the family. It’s a huge relief to me that I haven’t mucked it up and he’s had another amazing result.”
Ballaghmor Class had lowered four fences in the showjumping phase at the Pratoni World Championships last autumn, and this was a testing track if he was not on his game. When he knocked down the oxer at fence 3, it looked like a long way home to hold on to his position, but he made light work of it, adding just 0.4 of a time-fault.
Earlier in the day, Ballaghmor Class’s groom Charlotte Holifield had won the Treehouse Sporting Colours grooms’ prize.
