Aztec Falls Slot Game Background
Aztec Falls is the latest entry in a wealth of unique slots developed by Northern Lights Gaming. Unlike other studios that focus on franchising and releasing multiple slots based on the same theme (Fishin’ Frenzy, Big Bass Bonanza, Rainbow Riches, etc.) Northern Lights Gaming’s output is varied and unique, encompassing such diverse themes as Ancient Rome, Greek Mythology, the American West, and even the Aztec Empire — as Aztec Falls aptly shows. And the slot showcases a slew of bonus features centred around jackpots, multipliers, a free spins bonus round, and more!
Aztec Falls Slot Game Design
Aztec Falls boasts a traditional 5-reel, 3-row game grid and 20 active paylines allied to a potential max payout of 5,000x the stake and features like jackpot picks, free spins, and more.
The in-game screen is quite busy — a lot of the real estate is taken up by the game grid and graphics detailing the Mini, Minor, Super and Mega Jackpot amounts
The slot’s setting is an Aztec temple in the middle of the Mexican jungle, and it is by all accounts very colourful. The main game grid takes up most of the in-game screen and is set into the side of said temple. Meanwhile, the jackpot graphics occupy most of the left-hand side of the screen. The reels are vertical stone slabs and the symbols comprise a wide assortment of Aztec masks and royal playing card symbols.
The slot has a jazzy music score (dominated by drum beats) whether spinning the reels or not; this is accompanied by various ambient sounds like the noise of tweeting birds, making for a very serene-sounding slot!
Aztec Falls Slot Mobile
Aztec Falls, like all our online slots at Lottomart Games, can be played on a desktop PC or all mobile platforms, including tablets, Android and Apple devices. You can also download the Lottomart app via a stable internet connection or mobile data for greater portability.

- Coin symbol = represented by a golden coin (naturally), this symbol appears only on reel 5 and is used in the Coin Drop and Coin Fall bonus features.
Aztec Falls Slot Bonus Features
Aztec Falls offers a few bonuses and features sure to get the excitement levels to peak pyramid levels!
Coin Drop Bonus
Landing a Coin symbol triggers the Cash Drop Bonus. A coin then drops down into a slot containing a bonus, leaving a trail along the reels. Potential bonuses include:
- Wild = symbols on the coin trail are transformed into Wild symbols.
- Jackpot = triggers the Jackpot Wheel.
- Stacked = reels respin with stacked symbols.
- Multiplier = current win is multiplied by either 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x.
- Blank = no bonus is awarded.
The bonus awarded depends on which slot the coin lands at.
Coin Fall Bonus
Aztec Falls is actually a jackpot slot game, with this bonus coming in the form of the Jackpot Wheel feature. This could be randomly triggered on a base game spin. Coins fall into cash slots located below the reels. Cash slots have a value of 0x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x, or 10x.
The feature ends when the last coin falls into a cash slot. The accumulated values of all the cash slots are added and awarded. Same with any wins from the spin that triggered the feature.
Aztec Falls Jackpot Wheel Feature
This feature is triggered by a coin landing on a jackpot bonus slot in the Coin Drop bonus round. The wheel spins automatically and the player is awarded either the Mini, Minor, Super or Major Jackpots. These have the following payouts:
- Mini Jackpot = 30x the total bet staked.
- Minor Jackpot = 200x the total bet staked.
- Super Jackpot = 1,000x the total bet staked.
- Mega Jackpot = 5,000x the total bet staked.
Jackpot Gamble Feature
This feature is available after winning one of the four available jackpots. Players can gamble their current jackpot for the next one up. So if you’ve won the Mini Jackpot, for example, you can gamble it for the Minor Jackpot, and so on until the Mega Jackpot assuming that all successive gambles have been successful up to that point.
Free Spins Feature
The feature is triggered by landing 4 Scatter/Bonus symbols in view. This awards a total of 5 Free Spins.
Only the Wild bonus is available during the Free Spins feature. If a Wild symbol is displayed on a bonus slot at the end of a spin, the Sticky Wild symbol fills the entire reel above the bonus slot. Sticky Wild symbols are held on the reels until the end of the Free Spins feature.

Aztec Falls Bonus Features
With two bonus features in the base game, 4 jackpots, a jackpot gamble feature and a free spins bonus round, there’s a lot to master in Aztec Falls, so let’s start from the beginning.
Wilds
To help you win, regular wilds will substitute for anything except scatters and golden coin symbols in Aztec Falls, but look out for sticky wilds in free spins. When they appear, they’ll always land stacked for more potential winning possibilities.
Scatters
Depicted as glowing Aztec pyramids, scatters can activate the free spins bonus round when 3 of them appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 on the same base spin.
Coin Drop Bonus
A golden Aztec sun coin is one more symbol you’ll want to watch out for in Aztec Falls. When it appears on reel 5 in the base game, it will roll across the top of the reel and drop into a slot triggering the coin drop bonus feature. Below each reel, there’s a pocket containing bonuses that rotate on every spin and can be anything from wilds, multipliers of up to 5x, jackpots and stacked symbols. Whichever pocket the coin hits, the bonus will be awarded unless it hits a blank pocket. In which case, no bonus will be triggered.
Cash Fall Bonus
Somewhat resembling the famous Japanese Pachinko machine, you’ll have coins falling from the top of the reels during this random base game feature. The bottom bonus pockets will now display either blanks or cash values available to win, so, very similar to the above feature, except you’ll be winning instant cash here.
Free Spins
If random features are not enough, you can also trigger 5free spins with 3 scatters. Now, the bonus slot will display only wilds or blank pockets. Nothing will happen if you land on a blank, but if at the end of the spin you’ll see a wild pocket appear, it will summon a stacked wild on that reel. The stacked wilds fill the reel and stay sticky for the round duration. Unfortunately, free spins can’t be retriggered in this game.
Aztec Falls Jackpot
You could win 1 of 4 jackpots during the coin drop bonus feature. If the golden coin falls into the jackpot pocket, you’ll have one attempt at the jackpot wheel to win a Mini, Minor, Super or Mega jackpot worth 30x, 200x, 1,000x and 5,000x your stake respectively. If you’re not happy with your win, you can use the jackpot gamble feature to increase your win to the next highest jackpot, but only until you win the Grand jackpot. If the wheel arrow stops on the green space, you win. If it stops on red, you’ll lose your initial jackpot win and collect a mystery prize instead.
RTP and Volatility
The key stats of Aztec Falls won’t make you gush with excitement, but they aren’t disappointing either considering the max potential here. The volatility comes in at a medium rate, while the RTP value stands at an average 96.08%.
